Ing. Arch. (Czech)
What do you do at Jessop and Cook Architects? I work on a diverse range of projects including: science laboratories for Oxford University, an adventure playground for SOAP Charity and domestic houses for both private clients and Oxford City Council. I work on all stages of our projects and I particularly enjoy creating presentation drawings that represent the design goals of Jessop and Cook.
What were you doing before you joined Jessop and Cook Architects? I graduated at the Brno University of Technology in Czech. During my studies I worked as an assistant in a couple of local practices, mostly working on domestic projects and community centre schemes but also arranging architectural exhibitions and helping to publish my professor’s books. I moved to England two weeks after I graduated and since then I have been working at Jessop and Cook Architects.
What else do you do that’s not related to architecture? I love my dog back home in Czech, so probably I would be having fun with her in the park. Since she is not here in the UK, I spend my time jogging by the canal, cooking or going out for dinner with my friends. Also I love travelling! It really is my passion and obsession in one. I am always planning another holiday… even when I am enjoying the current one!
