magda borovina // part I architectural assistant
BA (Hons)
How LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT JESSOP AND COOK ARCHITECTS AND WHAT PROJECTS DO YOU WORK ON?
I joined Jessop and Cook as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant in October 2022 after finishing my undergraduate at Oxford Brookes University. I have been working on a range of different projects at various design stages preparing drawings, proposal sketches, visualisations and documents for statutory approvals.
WHAT SPECIFIC AREAS ARE YOU INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING WITHIN JESSOP AND COOK ARCHITECTS?
Throughout my studies I have realised how big of an impact architecture has on our everyday lives. I think it is very important to create architecture that benefits its communities socially, culturally, historically, and ecologically. I am looking to help Jessop and Cook in creating architecture that positively impacts the users and their well-being.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
At home I enjoy cooking, baking, and watching a good TV show. I think being active is a vital part of my mental health and in my free time I enjoy dancing, pole fitness and playing quidditch. I also teach the RIBA Foundation in Architecture and am looking forward to engaging prospective architecture students with the industry.
