Building Regulations Principal Designer Services

Where the CDM Regulations cover Health and Safety for people Constructing and Maintaining buildings, the Building Regulations cover Health and Safety for people using them. Following the introduction of the Building Safety Act (BSA) 2022, every project covered under these Building Regulations must now have a Principal Designer appointed to oversee the compliance of all design work.

The aim of this new legislation is to ensure a “golden thread,” captures all design decisions and changes made before and during construction.

With our expertise coordinating designs and consultants on a wide range of projects, Jessop and Cook are well-placed to fulfill this role, and we have been doing so since the new regulations came into force.
