CDM Principal Designer Services
The Health and Safety of people constructing and maintaining buildings is covered by the Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations 2015. Under these regulations, every project must have a Principal Designer appointed to oversee Health and Safety in all design work, and manage any risks and relay them to the Contractor(s).
This involves working with other designers to eliminate, reduce and control risks, putting together the Pre-Construction Health and Safety Information for Contractor(s), and compiling a Health and Safety File after construction.
We have fulfilled this role on many projects, including:
Oxford Natural History Museum Roof Repairs
Redbridge Park and Ride EV Charging Super-Hub
Taylor Institue Refurbishment
Oxford University St Cross Library Refurbishment
Oxford University Biochemistry Building Seminar Room
The CDM Regulations also put responsibilities on clients to manage Health and Safety, but on domestic projects, we can take on these duties directly.
Please note, we also offer Principal Designer Services to cover the responsibilities under the Building Regulations.
